TorrAGE Ageing Well

TorrAGE Ageing Well aims to support the health, wellbeing of older people in North Devon.

Services include; weekly telephone calls, gentle exercise groups and social activities. There are also groups aimed at those who are experiencing memory loss; a sing a long group ‘Singing for Health’ At Torrington Hospital and a Memory Cafes in Northam and Bideford. A paid for Help at Home service is also available which offers cleaning, laundry and shopping and a sitting service to provide respite for carers.  These are available to those over 60 living in Torridge who would benefit from our support.

The Junction - Encompass​

 

Funded by Children in Need, The Junction aims to reduce homelessness, repeat homelessness and rough sleeping among young people aged 16-18 years living in the rural districts of North Devon and Torridge by providing free, confidential and independent support and advice.

NDADA - North Devon Against Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse is any abuse that happens in a family or personal relationship, where one person bullies or controls the other one. SAND - Survivors Alliance North Devon

Survivors Alliance North Devon CIC is a not for profit specialist counselling service for ALL adults who have experienced sexual abuse or rape no matter when it happened. We alsowork with non sexually offending family members.

Reading Well Books on Prescription helps you to understand and manage your health and wellbeing using self-help reading. The scheme is endorsed by health professionals and supported by public libraries.

Reading Well Mood-boosting Books is a national promotion of uplifting titles, including novels, poetry and non-fiction. The books are all recommended by readers and reading groups.
