If you feel you may need immunisations for foreign travel you should attend travel clinic well in advance, and certainly at least 4 weeks prior to departure.  To attend Travel Clinic telephone the Treatment Room to make an appointment, please be aware that you will have to pay for Malaria prophylaxis (approx £50),  and Rabies (£120), Japanese B encephalitis (£95), Hepatitis B (£78) and Yellow Fever (£45) immunisations.  Bideford Medical Centre does not have the facilities for credit or debit card payments, please bring cash or a cheque book.

Every traveller should take precautions against mosquito bites, and remember to aid vulnerable parties travelling with them (children and the elderly) to do the same-

  1. Wear trousers and long sleeved tops
  2. Use insect repellent on the skin
  3. Use a mosquito net soaked in insect repellent/insecticide
