Premises Upgrade 2007
Our
major premises upgrade project commenced on 8th January 2007.
It involves replacing the one-storey flat roof area currently housing the
Reception, waiting Area and Admin office with a two-storey structure to link up
with the existing building.
What the upgrade project will provide:
The upgrade will provide a two-storey structure with a new pitched-roof to link
up with the existing building. It will provide a new Reception, Waiting Area, 5
consulting rooms, 3 examination rooms and a larger pharmacy on the ground floor.
The Admin Office, patient records room computer server room will be relocated
upstairs to release the much needed space on the ground floor for patient care.
The new larger Health Education Room will be used for ante-natal classes, group
smoking cessation classes, group psychotherapy sessions and baby drop in
clinics.
The existing health education room will be changed into two consulting rooms for
either doctors, nurses or a psychotherapist/counsellor. This will also allow us
to be more involved in the training of GP Registrars and medical students with
the spare accommodation for an additional GP Registrar and medical students.
Staff and patients will benefit from having a comfortable waiting area, a new
reception which meets the Disability Access legislation, a larger pharmacy which
will provide personal and confidential consultation and more multi-purpose
consulting rooms.
Completion date:
The upgrade project is due to be completed on 14 September 2007. On
Monday 17 September 2007 we would welcome our patients to use our new improved
facilities.
Thank You
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the patients, staff and
visitors who have endured the inconvenience caused during the building period.
