BMC Welcomes Dr Ruth Down

BMC is privileged to have Dr Ruth Down joining us as a GP partner, taking over from Dr Kathy Pritchard.

Dr Down moved from Boutport Street Surgery in Barnstaple and will be offering surgeries every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  She is an enthusiastic and dedicated GP whose experience and skill mix will greatly benefit both staff and patients at BMC.

Dr Down has an interest in Women’s Health and has a high level of academic and practical expertise to complement this – with advanced qualifications in family planning, coil and contraceptive implant insertion and sexual health.  This experience is put to great use in the Well Woman Clinic she offers all of BMC’s patients on a Thursday afternoon.
